Dear Councilmember Bonin,
The short-term rental industry is destroying my neighborhood and my quality of life.
As an 11th District resident, voter and supporter of yours, I need your help. Illegal sublets of apartments and homes to tourists are taking away people's homes and forcing my friends and neighbors to leave our community.
We need the council to pass an ordinance that only allows short term rentals in one a primary residence, bans them entirely in vital Rent Stabilized Units and places a reasonable cap on the number of days a short-term rental is allowed anywhere.
Our neighborhoods cannot recover without these rules. I implore you to be the voice for our community.
